Cases by Lendager and Pihlmann Architects

Reuse architecture and circular construction are key agendas in the building industry, which is responsible for 40% of all waste production. We need to rethink how we design our buildings and begin using recycled and biogenic materials. Lendager Architects are among the pioneers in this field. Their projects in Ørestad, Grøntorvet, Aarhus, and Nordhavn — such as Ressourcerækkerne, Upcycled Studios, and Plads23 — have gained international attention for their innovative use of recycled materials.

Another flagship project is Thoravej 29 by Søren Pihlmann Architects, as well as UN17 Village, which is built on all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The developers call it “a beacon of sustainable construction.”

The co-living project Eco-Village – Grønne Eng, developed by FB Gruppen and partners, also showcases sustainable building practices while introducing a new approach to community living and sustainable lifestyles.
