Hi, I’m Mira, and I offer guided tours and professional excursions focusing on architecture, sustainable urban planning, and community life in Copenhagen’s newest urban neighborhoods — including Nordhavn (Northern Harbour), Ørestad, Carlsberg City, Sydhavn (Southern Harbour), Grønttorvet, and Opera Parken.
🌿 Explore What’s Beyond the Guidebooks
I love introducing visitors to the parts of Copenhagen you won’t find in typical tourist guides — especially the emerging neighborhoods on the city’s edge, where small, vibrant communities are taking shape.
Together, we explore questions around:
Sustainable and regenerative urban living
Recycled architecture and circular building practices
Urban life, social infrastructure, and the human scale
Copenhagen's green transition and “The Copenhagen Model”
The tours are always interactive and based on open dialogue. I enjoy discussing urban development with participants — whether you're an architect, developer, policymaker, student, or an architecture enthusiast.
🏙️ Local Knowledge Meets Professional Insight
In my research and tours, I speak with residents and first movers about their daily experiences in new neighborhoods. What works, what doesn’t, and what makes a place feel like home?
For larger groups or multiple bookings, I collaborate with a network of skilled local guides in Copenhagen — ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.
👥 Who Joins the Tours?
Most of my guests come from the construction and planning industry:
Architecture firms
Urban planners and developers
Real estate professionals and investors
Municipal delegations and sustainability experts
I also warmly welcome private groups and architecture tourists looking for a more personal and curated experience of Copenhagen’s built environment.
🌍 Multilingual Tours
I guide fluently in Danish, English, and German.
French guests are very welcome too — feel free to ask in French, and I’ll respond in my best charming blend of French and English 😉
🎓 About Me
I hold a master’s degree from Roskilde University in Art History, Experience Design, and Danish Linguistics, with a focus on how site-specific cultural events can support urban development.
In 2012, I founded Experience Copenhagen – Architecture Tours, and since then I’ve guided hundreds of groups through Copenhagen’s most exciting urban transformations.
🏡 Urban Living in Ørestad
I live in Ørestad, one of the city’s most ambitious new districts — surrounded by architecture, nature, and pioneering energy. I’m also a mom of a curious 7-year-old, a dog lover, and an entrepreneur. When I’m not guiding, my daughters and I enjoy the city’s performance scene and swimming in the harbor.
🌱 Rooftop Farming Project – “Asgers Have”
I'm currently co-developing Asgers Have, a 3,500 m² rooftop farm on top of a parking garage in Ørestad. The space will include:
Urban farming and permaculture
A rooftop restaurant
Green public areas for the local community
A model for sustainable, food-producing architecture in the city
👉 If you're planning a professional visit to Copenhagen, or looking for expert-led, sustainable architecture tours, feel free to reach out. I’d love to create a custom tour for your group.
