Ofelia Plads is one of Copenhagen’s newest hotspots with a dynamic and active urban life.
The square is eg. used for pop-up architecture, festivals and its The Royal Playhouse’ new outdoor stage and playground.
The architecture of the Royal Playhouse is inspired by the harbourfront with its old warehouses and the urban planning of Frederiksstaden in the 1700 century. The architects Lundgaard Tranberg has made a beautiful opening of Copenhagens harbourfront with the this edifice.
We cross “Inderhavnsbroen” to Krøyers Plads with exclusive apartments by the architects COBE and Vilhelm Lauritzen. What kind of atmosphere do we experience here?
We pass end the guided tour at Øens Streetfood market and take a look to “Paperisland” where the Japanese star-architect Kengo Kuma is the mind behind the future culturehouse filled with water activities. Right next to it we find the beautiful Operaparc by COBE architects where we enjoy the colorful vegetation and beautiful greenhouse.
